Four Decades of Leadership, Service, and Retirement Experience
Jack Whittaker is the founder of Carolina Benefits Group and brings 40 years of experience in the retirement and insurance industry. An author, radio host, U.S. Army veteran, and longtime retirement professional, Jack has built his career around helping individuals and families understand complex financial decisions and prepare for retirement with greater clarity and confidence.
Before entering the financial services industry, Jack served eight years in the U.S. Army and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. The discipline, accountability, and leadership developed during his military service have remained central to the way he serves clients today. Jack later spent 21 years with a Fortune 500 company, where he built long-term client relationships, earned recognition for outstanding performance, and served on the Chairman's Advisory Board.
Jack went on to found Carolina Benefits Group to provide more personal, straightforward guidance in retirement income planning, annuities, life insurance, Medicare, long-term care planning, and legacy protection. He is also the author of Retiring in a Perfect Storm and the host of Retirement Income Radio, where he has shared retirement education and practical planning insights with listeners beyond the office.
Family, faith, community, and service remain important parts of Jack's life and work. He is a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Jack works alongside his son, JD Whittaker, helping carry Carolina Benefits Group's commitment to education, personal service, and long-term relationships into the next generation.
